By submitting an entry, all participants agree to comply with the following ethical standards.
1. Integrity and Professional ConductAll participants are expected to act honestly, professionally, and respectfully throughout the competition.
Applicants must provide accurate information regarding authorship, project details, collaborators, and supporting materials.
Any attempt to mislead the Award Administration or jury may result in disqualification.
2. Originality of WorkAll submitted projects must represent original creative work created by the applicant or authorized team.
Projects that substantially copy, imitate, or reproduce the work of others without permission are not eligible for consideration.
Originality is evaluated as an essential component of professional excellence.
3. Plagiarism PolicyThe Naumy Design International Award maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying another person's design, artwork, concept, text, or research.
- Using copyrighted materials without authorization.
- Presenting another creator's work as one's own.
- Reproducing substantial portions of existing projects without proper attribution.
If plagiarism is identified before or after judging, the submission may be disqualified, any award revoked, and future participation restricted.
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI)Artificial intelligence is recognized as a valuable creative tool when used responsibly.
Projects incorporating AI-assisted processes are eligible, provided that:
- The applicant remains the primary creative author.
- AI serves as a tool within the creative workflow rather than replacing independent creative authorship.
- Any significant use of AI in the development process is disclosed when relevant to the project.
Projects consisting primarily of automatically generated content with minimal human creative contribution may not meet the standards of the award.
The jury evaluates the originality, creativity, concept, execution, and overall merit of the final work rather than the technology used to produce it.
5. Copyright and Intellectual PropertyApplicants must own or have obtained the necessary rights to all submitted materials.
By entering the competition, participants confirm that:
- They are the copyright holder or have written permission to submit the work.
- Submitted materials do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties.
- All images, graphics, music, video, typography, and other assets have been legally obtained or properly licensed.
The Naumy Design International Award does not claim ownership of submitted projects.
Applicants retain full copyright and intellectual property rights to their work.
By participating, applicants grant the Award a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use submitted materials solely for purposes related to the promotion of the competition, exhibitions, publications, educational activities, archives, and official communications.
6. Fair CompetitionAll entries are evaluated equally regardless of:
- Nationality
- Country of residence
- Age
- Gender
- Organization
- Company size
- Professional status
- Educational background
The award promotes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity throughout the evaluation process.
7. Respect for OthersProjects containing unlawful, discriminatory, hateful, defamatory, or offensive content may be rejected.
Participants are expected to respect the rights, cultures, identities, and creative contributions of others.
8. Ethical ResponsibilityThe Award encourages projects that contribute positively to society through responsible design, sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and cultural awareness.
Ethical decision-making is considered an important aspect of professional design practice.
9. ViolationsFailure to comply with this Code of Ethics may result in:
- Disqualification of the submission.
- Removal from the judging process.
- Revocation of awards or certificates.
- Suspension from future editions of the Naumy Design International Award.
The Award Administration reserves the right to investigate suspected ethical violations and request supporting documentation where appropriate.
10. AcceptanceSubmission of an entry constitutes acceptance of this Code of Ethics and all related policies governing the Naumy Design International Award.
