Candidate evaluation criteria

These criteria form the foundation of our evaluation system, through which our experts determine the candidate’s professional status within the Association

Education and qualifications

We consider the level, relevance, and rigor of your academic background (degrees, diplomas, certificates) and ongoing professional training. Strong weight is given to accredited programs, advanced studies, and verified completion of workshops, residencies, or certification courses that build demonstrable design competencies.
Portfolio and completed projects

Evaluation focuses on conceptual strength, originality, craft, and consistency across real projects. We look for clear problem-solving, appropriate use of materials/technology, presentation quality (case studies, process, results), documented outcomes, and diversity of clients, media, or contexts.
Professional experience

We assess years in practice, progression of responsibility, and the scale/complexity of work delivered. Experience with notable clients, studios, or institutions, leadership roles, mentorship, and evidence of reliable delivery under constraints all strengthen this category.
Publications and media coverage

Articles, interviews, features, or scholarly pieces in reputable outlets demonstrate thought leadership and public relevance. We consider the quality and reach of the platform, editorial selection (peer review or curatorial choice), and how your ideas advance discourse in design and the arts.
Exhibitions and competitions

Participation in curated exhibitions, biennales, design weeks, or juried competitions signals professional validation. We assess the level (local, national, international), the reputation of the organizer/jury, finalist or shortlist status, and any measurable impact (audience, press, acquisitions).
Industry awards and recognition

Honors from respected organizations, associations, and award programs (with transparent criteria and juries) carry significant weight. We review the competitiveness of the award, year, category, and evidence of sustained recognition over time—not only one-off wins.
Expert activity

Serving on juries, giving keynotes, leading masterclasses, or teaching demonstrates authority and contribution to the field. We value verified invitations by recognized bodies, the depth of your expertise shared, and your role in raising professional standards.
Innovative contributions

Credit is given for new methods, tools, curricula, systems, or research that others adopt or cite. We look for documented innovation (papers, patents, open resources, pilot programs) and tangible influence on practice, education, sustainability, or accessibility.
Partnerships and collaborations

Cross-disciplinary or international projects with brands, cultural institutions, universities, or NGOs show the ability to operate at scale and across cultures. We consider partner reputation, your role and accountability, and outcomes such as products launched, programs delivered, or communities impacted.

Meet our evaluation experts

Irina Naumycheva is the founder of Naumy Design International — a global platform uniting design, art, and innovation. She is an award-winning graphic designer and author of the acclaimed methodology AI-Art & Design Flow 2025, which has been recognized internationally and adopted by both academic and professional communities. Her work has been exhibited in leading galleries across Europe and the U.S., and she is a laureate of the Presidential Award for Supporting Talented People in Russia. With over a decade of experience, Irina is known for her contributions to infrastructure design, branding, and creative education.
